UIL Released its district alignments for the varsity sports that BNHS will participate in (individual sports for 2009-10). UIL refers to Byron Nelson High School as "Northwest Nelson". The Bobcats are aligned with 3A schools in some sports, 4A schools for swimming and diving and a mix of mostly 5A schools for wrestling.

Latest November estimate... 850 students will attend Byron Nelson in 2009-10.
2009-10 varsity sports: Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Golf, Track and Cross Country. In 2010-11 there will be a full varsity schedule in all sports.
Spirit wear will be available at the NISD Spirit Shop. There will also be many mobile units selling spirit wear throughout the TC/Rk area during spring.

NISD has had delays in reorganizing the Northwest Booster clubs which has taken a priority over the coordination of Byron Nelson Boosters. In short, the booster club is essentially 12 mini booster clubs that surround their respective sports. A "super board" made up of presidents and Treasurers from each of the booster clubs forms a larger group that elects its own board. That board is effectively a shell organization.
