We are moving in!
We have begun moving in to the band hall at BNHS! Our instruments and equipment are arriving and we are beginning to set up the band hall for summer band.

Help Needed During the week of July 20 – 24, we will need some help setting up the band hall and preparing for summer band. We will be working from about 8 AM until 5 PM each day. If you are interested in helping, please send Mr. Brown an email and let him know when you are available to help. We will let you know when to come. Please do not just show up to the school.

Band Registration/Uniform Fitting All band students and at least one parent need to plan on coming to the band registration on Saturday, August 1. We will collect all necessary forms and fees at this time. Students will be fitted for their uniform and will have the opportunity to purchase everything needed for marching band. Parents will also be able to sign up to volunteer in many different areas. You will also be able to purchase spirit wear. The list of required equipment and costs for each item will be available on the website next Wednesday, July, 22.

Calendar The Band calendar has been updated. Please view the Band Calendar for the dates and times of Summer Band Rehearsals, Leadership Training, Uniform Fittings, Band Photo Session, Pep Rallies, Football Games, concerts, all region auditions, solo and ensemble, etc. There will be a few additions to the calendar at a later date.

Student Leaders Students wishing to serve as student leaders for the 2009-2010 school year need to attend the Student Leader training sessions beginning on Wednesday, July 29. Please refer to the calendar for a complete list of dates and times. Students that will be in 9th and 10th grade may serve as student leaders.

Music Music for the Fight Song and our marching show has been posted on the website. Please download your music and begin preparing it.

Instruments Manu instruments have arrived. We will contact everyone via email when instruments are ready to be picked up. Please be sure you have updated your email addresses in Charms so that we can contact you to pick up your new instrument.

Band Booster organization meeting scheduled for June 4th, 2009 at 7pm in the Medlin Middle School Band Hall.

We intend to elect officers, adopt by-laws and start to organize the club to prepare for the 2009-10 school year. Band Camp starts the last week of July and there is lots to do to ensure our kids and their band have the tools and support they need to excel.
